what is potentially Biden's biggest strength: The Republican embrace of extreme positions on issues like
abortion, guns, and attacks on democracy have made the party even less popular
than Biden with large swaths of the voting public. This is especially true in the suburbs,
which for the next election — as with those of the recent past — may be decisive. Dan Rather

"The heart of progressive-liberal values is simple: empathy (caring about and for people) and responsibility (acting responsibly on that empathy). These values translate into a simple principle: Use the common wealth for the common good to better all our lives. In short, promoting the common good is the central role of government.

Memo from @JoeBiden Comms Director Michael Tyler: “A new Moody’s analysis finds Biden’s…policies are significantly better for the U.S. economy, while Trump’s plans would trigger a recession, cut 3.2 million jobs, add 1% to inflation, and reduce middle-class families’ incomes” pic.twitter.com/hQ06P0w4yv
Biden is probably the most experienced politician ever to hold the Presidency.
This guy right here has had one of the most successful presidencies in modern American history, yet he never gets the credit he deserves and is often underestimated.
Nevertheless, he never complains and just keeps doing his job with honor and effectiveness on behalf of the… pic.twitter.com/hUZ9lx2XqT
A $1.5 trillion bill to upgrade infrastructure, which both parties agreed is needed,
will better prepare for more violent climate. Recently, New York subways were inundated.
People drowned in their basement apartments.
Predictions are that coastal cities and low lying areas will increasingly be more flooded as sea levels rise.
We need to prepare for a hostile environment.
Democrats attempts to pass a $3.5 trillion Build Back Better package were blocked to convert to renewable energy, limit fossil fuel use,
and strengthen social programs.
A Green New Deal could slow the damage, but the problem requires international cooperation.
These are popular, necessary programs, and it is possible that political polarization and flawed elections will stop them. Republicans deny the science, use downright crazy cures for CoVid, and are determined to defeat HR1 to fix elections so they cannot lose.
"But what has Biden actually done?"
Here's what Biden has accomplished:
1. Inflation Reduction Act is generating $1.7T in US investment 2. CHIPS Act has created more than 84,000 jobs so far 3. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has already started more than 40,000 projects…

Republicans complain a lot about the border, but blocked a bipartisan bill that would have brought some
order and resources there because Trump needed an election issue.
Republican Tax cuts ballooned the deficit and continue to threaten social security, medicare, and
any other programs vital for most people. Instead they exacerbate wealth disparities, one of our most
fundamental problems, to benefit the most affluent.
It's not just that Trump is a many time convicted felon who lies a lot, a sexual predator,
bankrupted businessman, election denier, Russian backed wannabe fascist dictator,
He makes bad decisions: Ingest bleach, Rake the forests. Nuke the hurricanes.
Arm the teachers. Blame windmills for cancer.Stare at an eclipse. Water-bomb a cathedral.
Doctor a weather map. Hype a false drug. Gas peaceful protesters.
Hold a rally in a pandemic. Blame others for losing.
Government is only as good as the decisions it makes.
Republicans are telling us what they intend to do.
Project 2025 will replace experienced civil service with party loyalists
who would be directly removable by the President.
The very wealthiest are supporting Trump because he intends to give them
immense tax cuts.
Trump pressed oil executives to give $1 billion for his campaign, people in industry say,
in exchange for dismantling parts of President Joe Biden’s green agenda,
and rolling back pollution regulations that threaten to crimp their profits.
As POLITICO reported Wednesday, oil executives are also preparing some highly specific requests
for Trump, including executive orders they hope he would sign if reelected.
Republicans withdraw from international agreements like NATO, the WHO, arms agreements,
refuse to join the International criminal court, don't support the UN, so another
Trump administration would be like withdrawing from alliances with
former democratic allies, instead joining an axis that includes Russia
and other far right countries.
The new Netflix series on Hitler looks timely.
Challenges
The most important challenges we face are trans national.
Heat rising, hurricanes, massive fires, arctic melting, drought, pandemic,
species extinction, have been disastrous world-wide, causing mass migrations.
Rising levels of CO2 are clearly going to get worse. With business as usual, computer models predict collapse within a few years.
Republicans oppose any attempt to mitigate damage, but this could be humanity’s last chance.

I've fought hard for stronger oversight of nursing homes, which have been cutting corners to pad their profits for years. By proposing first-ever staffing standards, @POTUS is showing seniors & workers that he has their back. We must build on this progress.https://t.co/bmCENRYyKW
Just Saying: So far, Democrats have cut child poverty in half, added 5.3 million jobs, managed the most ambitious vaccine rollout in the nation’s history, and passed a $1.2 trillion investment in water, roads, bridges, and broadband. Trump gave $2 trillion to the rich.
We’re going to put money directly into the pockets of American workers by lowering the costs of child care and elder care, and making universal preschool a reality. These investments add up to thousands of dollars in savings each year for working families.
